Solutions for senior living

No one can deny that structural and functional differences exist between running a hospital and a senior living facility, because operations can vary even in the same residence. A single solution, therefore, cannot satisfy all needs.

It is increasingly common to find assisted living homes whose residents have varying degrees of dependence, from full mobility to skilled nursing and hospice care.

In scenarios like this, the cost of installing a traditional nurse call system in all the residents rooms is not only an unnecessary expenditure but can hurt the overall efficiency of the residence.

Residents with total mobility require more than a single intercom to talk to the nurse. A portable device that allows increased mobility offers them the freedom of movement, while keeping them confident that in the event of an emergency they can be quickly attended to. Moreover, an even better system would address the need of personnel to quickly pinpoint the location of a resident in an emergency and increase response time.

The QS-100 bracelets have been designed specifically to address these concerns. The systems also incorporate motion detectors, which can detect resident inactivity and falls, and can autonomously generate automatic alarms. In addition, the bracelets provide staff with a way of pinpointing active alarms so they can quickly locate residents needing assistance.

The main advantage of the SIENA Care product family is its great versatility and total integration. In a single installation, you can combine several different types of devices and operating modes. For example, in a residence where residents with full mobility live with others who need constant care, we may suggest:

  • Only Bracelets QS-100, for those wings reserved for apartments with mobile residents.

  • Voiceless Patient Stations: Andros, with or without peripheral stations as well as overdoor, pull cord bath room stations and alarms for residents with restricted mobility.

  • Voice Patient Stations (VoIP): SIENA Lite for residents who require more advanced care.

All capable of these devices are capable of running as a single system with the same software.
