Quadrant in Hospitals

Quadrant-RTLS, much more than visibility and location

Quadrant Technology was initially developed to provide ways for organizations to pinpoint the location of individuals and goods. Amazingly, this technology has evolved beyond its practical application in healthcare and senior living, to provide organizations greater managerial oversight, location security, and the ability to quickly track people and assets in any setting.

Management of property and assets.

Finding a specific asset in a hospital or senior living environment can often be a tedious chore and is highly inefficient. The work of medical personnel requires a high degree of precision; precious time can not be wasted searching rooms an infusion pump or a wheelchair.

An action as simple as attaching a Quadrant label to valuable hospital equipment, will allows staff to locate the items in a manner of seconds. Additionally, the Quadrant platform allows staff to track both the movements of the equipment and the rate of use of any asset bearing a label.

Quadrant is able to automate what was once the manual processes of searching and managing the inventory of assets. Introducing Quadrant is both extremely quick and easy, and can be installed without disrupting the work flow of the hospital.

Patient and resident tracking

Knowing the location of each patient resident at all times is critical to the success of any health care environment. This allows health professionals greater flexibility in decision making and increases the performance of the hospitals and senior living facilities. Similarly, this also increases patient safety, because now patients have a simple button to signal for assistance at anytime and anywhere in the facility.

Environmental Monitoring

In all hospitals, there are regulations which require the hospital to monitor certain environmental factors such as temperature and humidity. Requiring hospital staff to complete this work manually, several times a day, bears a heavy economic cost on the hospital.

Quadrant labels allow measurement and data transmission in real time. In the case of a loss in coverage, these measurements are stored in the internal memory of TAG. Food, medicine, blood bags, living tissues and organs are only components of a long list of items that require strict control of environmental factors in order to ensure quality health care and enhance patient safety.
