Partnering to ensure facility security
In hospitals and senior living environments,, nursing homes or supervised apartments, health professionals and staff may be involved in emergency situations where early intervention is critical to prevent future medical complications.
Quadrant Technology has been tested in one of the most aggressive environments for the complication of radio frequencies, in prisons. Our technology has always performed successfully, regardless of the building’s architectural layout, abundance of metallic elements and inhibitors of radio frequencies. Its ability to overcome even the greatest technical adversities makes it ideal for facility security.
Panic buttons
In hospitals, psychiatric wards and even in some residential senior settings, patients can often represent a threat to the health and safety of staff and auxiliary other patients. Thanks to the QS-100 and QS-200 these situations can be avoided.
These devices come equipped with a panic button in case of emergencies. Simply by activating the device a message is sent directly to security personnel identifying both the bearer and their exact coordinates within the facility. The platform is ideal for emergency based communications. Not only are messages sent to security personnel, the bearer is then sent a message acknowledging their distress signal.
After initial activation, the alarm is sent simultaneously to both the control center as well as to portable devices (QJ-100), alerting security personnel by vibration, text message, as well as audible and visual indicators. Only after security acknowledges the alert, is the device then muted. Furthermore, all communications are encrypted with random keys, making the Quadrant platform the ideal solution for any high-security environment.
Other applications
The applications of this technology extend beyond environments where the worker or service user may need aid. Quadrant is also a valuable ally in surveillance applications, night patrols and even workers who perform their work in isolation, in tunnels, trenches, electrical substations or pylons.
For these cases, Quadrant has a gateway with the ability to make calls via a GSM mobile phone, GPRS or 3G connection. In these cases, special tags would be administered so that alarms would be triggered if they detect the wearer may have fallen or remains inactive- alerting staff that a worker may have fainted or has lost consciousness.
Whether it is industrial, health, safety fields- or even in mines- Quadrant ensures the right information is always delivered to the right people at the right time.
