Intelligent systems for demanding environments
SIENA is the first nurse call system to introduce the concept of bedside hospital management and data collection. Through utilizing the latest technological innovations, SIENA is able to combine reliability, autonomy, simplicity and universal compatibility with any communications system that meets current standards.
Unlike previous systems, each patient station is fully autonomous; requiring no external element (controller, server, etc.) to operate. This has allowed our system to avoid 99% of the massive or zonal failures, which are all too common on other systems.
Our platform, SIENA, operates on a revolutionary concept called the “Nursing Care Algorithm”, or NCA. This algorithm can help to maximize efficiency by managing a larger number of simultaneous alarms (manual switches, sensors, biomedical equipment, etc.) while determining the most efficient type of alarm notification.
SIENA has a modular structure for both software and hardware. This structure allows for our system to adapt to the various and ever-changing needs and/or requirements of hospitals and the senior living industry.
The technology’s simplicity and intuitiveness, allows for the medical teams to quickly and efficiently respond to patient calls. The platform allows for seamless integration of the system with any telephone exchange, offering hands-free communication with the patient. Alarms are transmitted simultaneously to the checkpoint and mobile devices for alarm reception.
Due to the close interaction between health care personnel and SIENA, patients are able to receive more specialized and greater overall care. The system is able to simplify and manage many routine tasks for the staff including identifying the medical personnel, cataloging future care to be administered, and registering vital signs such as temperature, glucose content, blood pressure, etc.
